Playing nurse

Since 11.45pm on Sunday evening I have been playing nurse to my little girl. We put her to bed as usual on Sunday evening and she seemed fine and just as I was dropping off to sleep I heard a noise, my husband and I ran into her room and she had been sick all in her bed. She was so upset.

We cleaned her down and sat her on our bed to comfort her. She was sick again all over our bed this time. After several changes of clothes and lots of cuddles she settled down again.

All day Monday she was sick and developed an awful cough.

On Tuesday the cough got worse and her temperature was raised. She was very sleepy and confused, so I took her to the doctor. He examined her and told me she had an upper tract infection, her ear drums were inflamed and bulging and that would be causing the other problems. So now she has some "yellow medicine" as she describes it and she has improved slightly, but the medicine has now given her diarrhoea.

Poor little girl, she is so tired and weak, it's awful seeing her like this. I cannot wait until she is running around making lots of noise. Hope you feel better soon x
